1. Ferrocene and its derivatives are anti-vibration agents in gasoline. They are much safer than tetraethyl lead that has been used.

2. Certain ferrocene salts have anti-cancer activity, such as the ferrocene congeners of tamoxifen. The mechanism is that tamoxifen can bind to estrogen and its cytotoxicity can kill cancer cells.

3. The easy sublimation properties of ferrocene can be used to deposit certain fullerenes or carbon nanotubes.
