Used in the production of catalysts, stabilizers, polymerization inhibitors, electroplating additives, photographic chemicals, pesticides, dyeing auxiliaries and mineral processing agents. It is also used as a vulcanizing agent, cross-linking agent, rubber additives and pharmaceutical raw materials for polymers.

In addition, be careful when using thioacetamide, because this product can damage the liver [1].

Hydrogen sulfide gas is toxic and odorous, and a newly prepared saturated aqueous solution of H2S or thioacetamide is often used as a substitute in experiments.
